Hey y’all! Today I’m about to put y’all on to one of my all-time favorite desserts – Thai Mango Sticky Rice. This dish is downright mind-blowing, and I’m about to show you how to make it using an Instant Pot. Trust me, once you try this, you’ll be hooked!

Thai Mango Sticky Rice

Now, let’s talk about this deliciousness. Just imagine juicy, ripe mangoes paired with sweet, sticky rice that has a hint of coconut flavor. It’s like a tropical paradise in your mouth! And the best part? You can easily make it at home. Here’s what you’ll need:


  • 1 cup of glutinous rice (also known as sweet rice or sushi rice)
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of toasted sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)


1. Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Then, soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

2. After soaking, drain the rice and transfer it to the Instant Pot. Add the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Give it a good stir to combine everything.

3. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set it to “Manual” mode for 15 minutes on high pressure. Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for about 10 minutes before carefully doing a quick release.

4. Open the Instant Pot and give the rice a gentle stir. Allow it to cool for a few minutes.

5. While the rice is cooling, let’s prepare the mangoes. Peel and slice them into thin, juicy pieces. Trust me, you’ll want generous amounts of mango on your plate!
